More than 270 million people in India are estimated to have some form of vision impairment. While India has led the world in pioneering high-volume, low-cost surgical models and community-based care, barriers to access remain.

Peek has been collaborating with Dr Shroff’s Charity Eye Hospital in India since 2021, with a strong focus on research and development.

Building on that foundation, we’ve expanded our partnerships to work with leading eye hospitals across India to strengthen school and community eye health services, improve referral systems and support data-driven programme optimisation.

Our partners in India include:

  • Dr Shroff’s Charity Eye Hospital
  • Shri Sadguru Seva Sangh Trust
  • Aravind Eye Care System
  • Pushpagiri Eye Foundation
  • H V Desai Eye Hospital
  • Sankara Eye Foundation

India is an important innovation hub for Peek, with new features such as the near vision test and presbyopia calculator developed and refined in collaboration with Indian partners before global rollout.

Together, we are helping eye health providers reach more people, strengthen pathways to treatment and use real-time data to improve equity, efficiency and programme performance.
