India is a major centre for Peek’s research, product development and innovation work.
Peek collaborates with eye hospitals and researchers to test and refine new approaches for improving access to eye care and strengthening health systems. Large-scale implementation research is embedded within active school and community programmes.
Recent work includes:
- Development and testing of Peek’s near vision test and presbyopia calculator in collaboration with Dr Shroff’s Charity Eye Hospital
- Research to understand behaviour and increase glasses uptake
- Innovative research to rapidly and robustly test solutions to increase access to eye care for those least likely to access services
- Early stage work to develop sustainable, market-driven models for eye health financing
