In 2021 Peek began working with Dr Shroff’s Charity Eye Hospital, whose staff use Peek in schools and communities to identify people with vision loss or eye conditions and ensure they receive timely treatment. Door-to-door screening with Peek drives referrals to local vision centres, where many patients receive glasses or treatment for minor eye conditions without needing to travel further.
Our collaboration has also been an important innovation hub for new Peek product features and joint research activities.
Highlights include:
- Three million people screened using Peek in communities and schools
- Successful Peek integration with the Vision Centre electronic medical records (EMR) system, removing the need for double data entry
- Development and testing of new Peek product features and innovative research activities leveraging the Peek platform
