Peek wins ‘Remote for Good’ Award

Peek Vision has been recognised for its commitment to improving vision and eye health for all in the 2024 Remote Excellence Awards. Peek is the winner of the Remote for Good Award, which celebrates future-focused organisations that have leveraged remote work and global hiring to make the world a better place.

The awards, presented by Remote, recognise companies that have demonstrated excellent commitment, innovation, and enthusiasm in navigating the challenges and opportunities presented by remote work. The winners across 10 categories were selected by a panel of judges made up of Remote’s leaders and influential industry figures.

Peek is also highly commended in the Excellence in Global Compensation category. This celebrates exceptional achievements in the realm of global equity, for companies that work to ensure fair and equitable treatment for employees worldwide.

As a fully remote social enterprise, Peek has team members based across the world. From a diverse range of backgrounds including software development, public health, research, eye health, international development and the private sector, the team is united by a common goal – to make the invisible, visible.

“It’s hugely important to us to employ team members in the regions where we are powering eye health programmes, and in the communities we serve,” said Melissa Kuecker Witte, Peek’s Head of Strategy & Corporate Development. “Fostering diversity and varied perspectives is crucial to delivering our mission and having true impact. This approach not only enhances our global culture but also enables us to recruit talented people from around the world who are aligned with our mission.”

“Peek Vision’s achievement in the Remote Excellence Awards highlights the dedication and hard work of its leaders and teams in succeeding in the new world of work,” said Job van der Voort, CEO, and Co-founder of Remote. “Organisations like these have become the benchmark, through their commitment to excellence and their ability to thrive, paving a way forward for other organisations to confidently pursue their own remote work endeavours.”
