Sergio supports the design, implementation and data analysis of Peek-powered eye health programmes across multiple countries. He is an optometrist and researcher with a passion for public health, and is also Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Health Sciences of the University of Lurio in Mozambique and member of the Public Health research group of the University of Alicante, Spain. He has a PhD in Health Sciences and a Masters in Sustainability and Social Responsibility. His research has been published in numerous scientific journals including the Bulletin of the World Health Organisation. As the lead of the Data Insights team at Peek, Sergio pursues innovative solutions to power eye care providers to deliver more effective and equitable eye care services across programmes, countries, and globally.
