Chandrashekher is a public health and eye care specialist with over 12 years of experience delivering large-scale eye health programmes across India. He holds an Integrated Master’s degree in Optometry and Vision Sciences and a postgraduate degree in Public Health. He has led community-focused initiatives with organisations including VisionSpring, Sightsavers India, and the India Vision Institute. Chandrashekher was awarded the Global Challenge Research Fund (GCRF) by the UK Government and Cardiff University, and holds a PhD in Public Health from BITS Pilani, India, focusing on community eye care.
