Kenya continues to be a major hub for Peek’s research, innovation and systems integration work.

We are collaborating with local and international partners across academia and service delivery to test new approaches for improving access to eye care and strengthening health systems.

Recent projects include:

  • Work to enable Peek integration with the DHIS2-based national Kenya Health Information System (KHIS)
  • A pilot to integrate the Peek app into government-issued electronic community health information systems (eCHIS) devices used by Community Health Promoters
  • Innovative research to rapidly and robustly test solutions to increase access to eye care for those least likely to access services
  • Pilot projects in development to test sustainable financing models in Kenya to enable eye health services to expand their reach
