The Peek Vision Foundation is a registered charity in the UK, with a mission to invest in the people, knowledge and tools that create stronger health systems for universal health coverage.
This aligns with the technology-driven mission of Peek Vision Ltd, the trading company owned by the Foundation. Both entities share the overall vision of vision and health for everybody. Any profits generated by the Company’s activities ultimately belong to the Foundation to help further the Foundation’s work.
More than one billion people worldwide have an eye problem that could have been prevented or is yet to be treated. The Foundation uses its funds to help address this challenge by building eye care capacity in low- and middle-income countries.
To date, the Foundation has primarily focused on helping establish Peek Vision Ltd as a sustainable, thriving provider of technology and public health tools to improve eye health services.
Among its other activities, the Foundation established the Karen Sparrow Scholarship and the Peter Ackland Scholarship, which supports eye health professionals from low- and middle-income countries to attend the Global Eye Health course at the London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine.
It also co-funded the development of the Community Eye Health Journal app, which provides eye care workers in low-and middle-income countries with up-to-date, easily accessible, peer-reviewed information.

“When you meet people and you can solve their problem, it’s a great feeling - it is not just my joy, but the joy of the patient. And when you share their joy then that is double joy.”
