Chuks Okonkwo

Chuks is a public health professional with over two decades of experience in programme management; M&E and Research; he specialised in the elimination of Neglected Tropical Diseases (NTD), Eye Health, Reproductive Health, WASH, Malaria and HIV prevention. He played key role in numerous high-impact health initiatives, including the establishment of Nigeria’s inaugural National Trachoma Taskforce (NTTF); elimination of active trachoma in 9 states of Nigeria; delivery of over 3,500 trachoma trichiasis surgeries under the Queen Elizabeth Diamond Jubilee Trust-funded SAFE project. He was the Implementation Manager at USAID – RTI Act-to-End-NTD project in Nigeria. He is currently the Programme Management Lead (PML) for Peek Vision in Nigeria.
