Sergio leads Peek Vision’s Data Insights team, supporting the design, delivery, and analysis of Peek-powered eye health programmes across multiple countries. He is an optometrist and public health researcher, with a focus on using routine data to strengthen services and improve equity. Sergio also serves as an Assistant Professor at Lúrio University in Mozambique and is a member of the Public Health research group at the University of Alicante in Spain. He holds a PhD in Health Sciences and has published in several scientific journals, including the Bulletin of the World Health Organization.
