Peek welcomes UN Resolution committing countries to eye care for the 1.1 billion people with preventable sight loss

Peek has joined the global eye health community in welcoming the United Nations General Assembly’s adoption of the first agreement designed to tackle preventable sight loss. The Resolution enshrines eye health as part of the UN Sustainable Development Goals and commits the international community to eye care for the 1.1 billion worldwide people living with preventable sight loss by 2030. 

Using technology for eye health impact in Africa

Since its early days being developed and tested in Kenya and Botswana, Peek technology is now powering programmes with partners in multiple programmes across sub-Saharan Africa. Programme Management Lead, Grace Mwangi, shares insights on how CBM-Peek programmes are increasing access to eye care in Zimbabwe.

Peek Vision wins the 2021 Tech4Good for Africa Award

Peek has been named as the winner of the Tech4Good for Africa Award at this year’s virtual Tech4Good awards ceremony. Peek was recognised for its smartphone technology and public health tools that help its partners deliver more efficient, more effective and more equitable eye health programmes in multiple countries across sub-saharan Africa and beyond.
