Introducing RAAB7 - the new generation of Rapid Assessment of Avoidable Blindness eye health survey

A new and expanded version of the Rapid Assessment of Avoidable Blindness (RAAB) survey has officially launched, following extensive development and testing with leading eye health sector organisations. RAAB7 is delivered digitally using bespoke technology and enables faster, more accurate and more insightful data collection and analysis for effective eye health planning.

Tanzania celebrates the launch of its first CBM-Peek eye health programme

Government officials have joined CBM Tanzania and eye health partners to celebrate the official launch of a new Community Eye Health programme in Tanzania. The programme is part of the partnership between CBM Christian Blind Mission and Peek Vision and is being implemented by Kilimanjaro Christian Medical Centre (KCMC), in collaboration with the Ministry of Health, Community Development, Gender, Elderly and Children.

Scaling up eye health care programmes to reach thousands more children in Pakistan

Thousands more children will be screened and connected to treatment in Pakistan as part of new and expanded School Eye Health programmes delivered through the CBM Christian Blind Mission and Peek Vision partnership. The programmes, supported by Pakistan’s National Committee for Eye Health, chaired by Professor Asad Aslam Khan, will reach an estimated 500 000 children in Sindh and Punjab provinces.

Bringing better vision to children in Ethiopia through a new School Eye Health programme

A new school eye health programme is underway in the Kolfe Keranio sub-district of Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, as part of the partnership between CBM Christian Blind Mission and Peek Vision. It is the first CBM-Peek programme to launch in the country and is being implemented by ALERT Hospital in collaboration with district health and education authorities.
